Hanna is located in the Canadian Badlands of Eastern central Alberta, approximately 2 hours northeast of Calgary, at the junction of two major highways. Hwy #9 extends east and west and is the main transportation route between Calgary and Saskatoon and Hwy #36 extends North and South. Hanna is 215 km northeast of Calgary, 304 km southeast of Edmonton and it is 330 km to the Coutts/Sweetgrass Border Crossing with the United States of America.
