The Community of Cold Lake is situated in Alberta's "Lakeland" district, 300 km northeast of Edmonton, near the Alberta-Saskatchewan provincial border, on the shores of Cold Lake. Alberta’s seventh largest lake, and one of it's deepest, Cold Lake is enjoyed by fishermen, boaters and campers. The deep, cool and clear waters provides habitat for a large number of gamefish species.
Surrounded by Provincial parks and picturesque Alberta landscape, Cold Lake offers four season outdoor recreation opportunities, including Kinosoo Beach, recently voted one of Canada’s top 25 beaches, and the Iron Horse Trail, a recreational trail that follows a former railway line.
